Jack joined Design Fire Consultants in April 2021.
In 2013 he graduated from the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN) with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Fire Safety and Risk Management. In 2019 he then graduated with a Masters in Fire Safety Engineering and provided a dissertation of the human behaviour patterns regarding the implementation of intelligent escape signage.
Jack has 5 years’ experience in fire engineering where he has been heavily involved in a number of schemes across London. He also brings with him over 2 years of fire risk assessment experience, working with local companies delivering a large quantity of assessments and in-person fire safety training.
He has experience working in a wide range of sectors including Healthcare, Residential, Office, Commercial, Prisons, Schools and Rail, applying various design codes in the UK.
Jack has also taught an intensive Fire Safety Management course on fire safety design guidance to senior officers and firefighters in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. This involved him having to achieve a firm understanding in their Fire Safety by-laws and be able to relay that information. During the trip he also helped organise and deliver fire safety talks to local schools and nursing homes.
