Project Description
DFC provided a full scope of fire safety engineering services on the VITA Pebble Mill project. Together with early design input, Building Regulations approval was attained and a detailed fire strategy report produced. Full consultation was undertaken with Ball and Berry Approved Inspectors and West Midlands Fire and Rescue Service, prior to start on site. During construction DFC acted as fire strategy custodians on behalf of the contractor, delivering the design fire strategy, managing change, and providing a site inspection role. DFC also oversaw the commissioning of the fire alarm system prior to client training. The project opened successfully on time for student move-in.
