Project Description
Roomzzz Chester opened in 2015 and provides 64 luxury apartments, including five stunning penthouses all with balconies overlooking the racecourse.
The Roomzzz concept is to provide a fusion between traditional hotel accommodation and a more individual ‘apartment style’ accommodation, resulting in features such as in-room cooking facilities for guest use.
This hybrid between the two types of accommodation resulted in departures from traditional design guidance, and required DFC to produce a strategy that referenced the relevant requirements from both residential apartment and hotel design standards to create a blend of sensible recommendations to enable the Roomzzz concept without compromising the safety of guests.
