Project Description

Mount Pleasant Primary School is an existing school in Lockwood, Huddersfield. The redevelopment project involves the demolition of the existing building and the construction of a new two-storey school across the sloping site. The school will provide education for 840 students, across Nursery, Reception, KS1 and KS2, along with 92 full time members of staff.

DFC was appointed by Kier Construction to develop the fire strategy for the school, not only for the completed condition, but also to assist in developing a phasing strategy for the demolition and construction timeline due to the requirement for parts of the school to remain open during the construction period.
